Everything I Learned at MIT

Edward S. Boyden, Ph. D. [ To current home page ]
One day I decided to scan in the notes from all the courses/classes I took at MIT, in my four years there (1995-1999). Perhaps some of them will be of use to you?

LEGEND OF SYMBOLS
What do all the symbols mean in these notes? Over the last 10 years, I've developed shorthand annotation methods for marking various parts of scientific, engineering, and other literature. You will often see the following symbols, written in bold, indicating that whatever is nearby has special properties:
A = assumption b = biological molecule C = cell type d = drug e = example
h = model H = hypothesis L = logical argument M = method P = protein
R = result S = structure of interest W = who (a person of import) X = experiment delta = definition
